Then come and join our team as Software Architect (f/m/d) for postprocessing applications at Computed Tomography (CT) to contribute to the success of Siemens Healthineers.
Choose the best place for your work - Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
As part of our CT architecture team, you are responsible for the architecture and pre-development of innovative software solutions that enable our customers to efficiently process and read CT images
You work with the product owners, project management, and clinical support to translate clinical needs into practical, scalable, and reliable software solutions
You collaborate with international development teams (e.g., in Bangalore) who are responsible for software implementation
In this role, you will lead, provide coaching, and make clear and sustainable technical decisions together to ensure that quality, time, and cost targets are met
You promote continuous improvements and redesigns to adapt the architecture and implementation to new platforms, thus fully exploiting the potential of new technologies
As a coding architect, you drive the development of prototypes and define opportunities for implementation
Together with other team members from the architecture and software development areas, you work on overarching architectural issues as well as on the maintenance of communal code components and tools

Your qualifications and experience:
You have successfully completed a degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Engineering, or another relevant field, or you can demonstrate a comparable qualification
You have many years of relevant professional experience in the development of medical software and in designing the architecture of complex software systems, as well as in making well-founded and convincing technical decisions that bring teams closer to their short- and long-term goals
You have a certification in software architecture (company-specific, such as SWA from Siemens, or from an independent organization) or otherwise can demonstrate very profound knowledge of software architecture methods
You have the ability to familiarize yourself with existing software code
You possess very profound experience with C# and .NET and ideally in the development of native-/syngo-based software products from Siemens Healthineers
A solid understanding of workflows and data flows in radiology is desirable
Your attributes and skills:
You possess very good English skills, both spoken and written, for close exchange with our international development teams. Additional language skills, such as German, are an advantage
