Financial Sales Manager (f/m/d) Grid Control

For the location NBG H, we are looking for a Financial Sales Manager Grid Control (f/md) for the fast-growing Business Unit Grid Software (GridSW). You will be the finance speaker for segment sales. Your primary goal will be to drive sustainable and profitable sales, focusing on the KPIs Order Intake and Software Revenue. You will develop and implement sales strategies and work closely with product and portfolio management to continue the transformation of the software license model for selected solutions. You will collaborate with the internationally positioned team of Grid Control sales, the senior sales management, cross-functional units of GridSW, as well as the international GridSW community.
What part will you play?

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to establish standardized project offerings, emphasizing profitability and software content.
  • Planning and Forecasting: Manage and drive the annual planning cycle for Order Intake and Software Revenue KPIs with your technical counterpart. Oversee the monthly rolling forecast with the GridSW GEOs and HQ sellers, and coordinate with key stakeholders within HQ, including senior sales management, Controlling, and Segment heads. Provide weekly commit updates to senior sales management.
  • KPI Analysis: Analyze KPIs, including ad hoc variance analyses, and track performance with the international GridSW FIN community. Provide regular reports to senior management and controlling.
  • Opportunity Development: Actively participate in the opportunity development process until PM020 focusing on minimizing the commercial risks in close cooperation with the Solutions bid management team.
  • Partner Management: Continue to drive the setup of partner management for selected software solutions in collaboration with dedicated sales experts, Legal, and the GridSW license management team.

What you need to make real what matters.

  • A master's degree in business administration or equivalent
  • Several years of experience in sales, project execution or bid management finance within a project and/or solution business environment
  • Strong affinity for numbers and a keen analytical mindset
  • Fluency in English; basic knowledge of German is a plus
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and suggest new approaches. Motivated by new challenges, with a focused and results-oriented approach to solving them
  • A team player who thrives in an international environment and is eager to be part of a fast-growing, multicultural Grid Software team
