What do you contribute?
You’ll create impact by designing locomotive controls functional software and technical coordination of a developer team. This includes the whole engineering process from requirements definition via system design to implementation and continuous improvement.
You define structure for cross functional organization of technical teams within vehicle control engineering in Siemens locomotives and passenger coaches.
You coordinate cross functional technical teams in regards of processes.
You technically lead a small team of software developers.
You manage a supplier in regard to technical development, deliverables and quality.
You coordinate with other departments and project teams cross functional topics and integration solutions.
You develop functional concepts and specify system requirements for software and hardware.
You design, develop and test PLC software applications for locomotive controls.
You focus your work on the reusability of work results in terms of product and technical platform strategies.
What do you bring along?
Your success is grounded in a bachelor’s degree in engineering or, technical education with additional qualifications and >5 years professional experience in a related field.
Expertise in railway engineering and/or maintenance round up your career.
You excel in a strong understanding of functional design and engineering of complex control functions in vehicle control systems.
You gained many years of experience in the railway business.
You have experience in coordination of cross functional teams of system engineers.
You are familiar with safety related functions and the certification of relevant functions in railway vehicles including their verification according to the relevant codes and standards.
You’d describe yourself as team player with excellent communication skills.
You communicate fluently in German and English. Further European language skills would be an advantage.
You are open for occasional, international business travels (approx. 10%)
